Social media fills a mom's time

As stewards of God’s creation, we are charged with the wise use of time. We cannot stop it from ticking away, and once it is gone, it is gone forever. “Time is a creature – a created thing – and a gift. We cannot make any more of it. We can only receive it and be faithful stewards in the use of it. Demands on our time differ, of course, and it is here that the disciple must refer to his Master. What do You want me to do, Lord? There will be time, depend on it, for everything God wants us to do.”

Society pressures us to cram as much as possible into our 24 hour day. Demands on our time come from all different directions, especially for homeschool moms. Cooking, cleaning, parenting, educating, exercise, personal devotions, sports, music lessons, church activities, shopping, play dates with the children’s friends, Bible studies, field trips, coffee breaks with friends, movie night, and….e-mail, texting, blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In, Instagram, Netflix, Hulu, and Pinterest.
